Here comes Christmas

The sun stays shorter, the wind feels so cold. There is only one thing we think when we experience these things. Christmas is coming. The day that we call the birth of Christ. But why do we celebrate Christmas?

I think we celebrate Christmas beacause one, it is part of our culture. Celebrating Christmas has been done many years. This is the when all the people in the world are rejoicing. Onother reason why we celebrate Christmas is because we need to remember how our savior was born. Without him, we will be sinners for the rest of our lives. I believe that if we don't remember his birthday, we will suffer bad things forever. Christmas also, is the most awaited day for the children. It's because this is the day where they recieve different presents from their relatives.

We should always celebrate Christmas for this is the day when we are all united. For the victims of the messacre, be strong! I know that justice will be given to you. To all the people in the world, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

STRENGTHENING THE PILIPINO PERSONALITY

"Pagpapatibay ng pagkataong Pilipino: Tugonsa hamon ng panahon," this was the theme of this year's values month celebration. In connection with the celebration, the Values Club of our school conducted different activities. Some of these are the poster making contest, cookfest, and kite fling contest. These activities developed some skills of the students. An example of this skills is the creativity of the students. Because of the poster making contest, the creativity of the students can be seen from their works. These activities developed their personalities.

During the month of November, I've experienced loneliness and sadness because our beloved adviser has retired. same teachers said that she was a great loss in this institution and I agree with that. She contributed a lot to our school. I also experienced physical fatigue because of practicing for the speech choir competition. I cant do anything to stop practicing because we our determination to win.

With all these experiences I have encountered, I think I have fulfilled the theme of the Values Month celebratin. I have strengthen my personality and overcome the challenges of this time.

TWO DOWN!TWO TO GO!

I learned a lot of things on this grading period. I learned that time is a valuable thing and every bit of it is imp0ortant. I also learned that you should do everything and don't wait for the deadline.

On this grading period, I've met different challenges in my studies. I have not encountered the problems I had during the first grsding period. Now, new and different challenges came. One of the problems I ahve encountered during this grading period is the rushing of projects and other requirements due to lack of time. The deadlines of our requirements were so close to each other and so we need to rush them in order to meet the deadline. I have also encontered financial problems during this grading period. I have spent a lot of money on our investigatory projects. But it is better to make sacrifices than to have no grades.

I solved my first problem by doing my best in finishing all mof my requirements and pass them on time. I have put all of my concentration in making my projects and other requirements. I didn't let anything destroy my concentration. On my financial problem, I asked some money from my mother. I have thought about these solutions for a long time.

Moving on I will do my requirements and pass them ahead of time so that the outcome of my requirements is good.

MY TEACHER!MY HERO!

Being a hero is not about having superpowers. You don't need superstrength to be a hero. You don't need x-ray or any superpowers to be a hero. Everyone of us can be a hero by doing simple things that can help other people who are in need.

I consider teachers as heroes. They save our lives by educating us. They make sure that our future will be secure and progressive. They make sacrifices just to give us all the knowledge they have. They give us good advices that we can use along the way. We can say that their wisdom is thier power. Teachers can be likened to our national hero,Dr. Jose Rizal. He used his wisdom in fighting the Spaniards and saving his fellowmen. The teachers also use thier wisdom in saving our future.

We should give thanks to our teachers who are doing their best in order for us to be progressive in the future. They are trully our heroes!

ADAPTING TO DIVERT SCIENCE CULTURE FOR DEVELOPMENT

We are now at the age of computers where technology is improving faster than what we have thought. Most of these technologies arose from the works of the great scientists. These works became the Sience culture which then became the basis of other works.

We are still urging to improve our way of living and gain more development in our lives. In order for us to achieve these goals, we should look back to the works of the late scientists. We should adapt their ways of making things and divert some of it so that we could come up with our own inventions. By diverting their ways, we are also diverting the Science culture. The result of this divertion is the further development of Science and Technology.

We can improve our lives in different ways. But we should look back to their past works which became the foundation of Science.

PILIPINO LANGUAGE:KEY TO ONENESS

The Filipino language is very important for us Pilipinos because it bonds us together. Even though we live in different places here in the Philippines we can stillcommunicate and interact with each other. This language serves as a rope that connects us.

There are many benefits we can get from this language. Because of this language, we are able to communicate with our fellow Pilipinos even if they are in different countries around the world. Using this language we can understand the fillings of our fellow Pilipinos even if they live in Baler or anywhere in the Philippines. Maybe one day this language would be the key so that the war between the government and Abu-sayaff would end.

We have to nourish and enrich the Filipino language the best we can. We should show that this language binds us together. we should also prove to the world that we can attain and maintain peace and oneness in our country using our own language.

MY FIRST QUARTER AS A SENIOR STUDENT

During the first quarter of my senior year I learned and discovered a lot. I learned how to be more serious in my studies. In the past years , my only goal is to be in the Science Class but now my goal is to get in the top 20 of the whole Science Class. I discovered tha reporting is not so bad. I didn't like reporting because of a bad experience when I was a freshman. Because of the help of my friend, he made me realize how fun it is to report.

The greatest problem that I have encountered was the very tight schedule. It was so hard coping with the chudule. I didn't know that the schedule would be this tight. Another problem that I have encopuntered was my addiction to the cellphone of my friend and other things that destroyed my concentration.

I had to think of a way so that I can cope p with the very tight schedule. The way that I thought was to do the the things that I can do easier and faster so that I would haveenough time for the things that would take a alot of time to finish. I also thought of a way to slowly end my addiction to the cellphone of my friend. I will avoid the cellphone and I will think about my purpose why I am in school.

Moving on, I will do my very best in order to achieve my goals in life. Starting from now I will always think of the reason why I am studying. And that is to have a better life in the future.

celebrating nutrition month with proper nutrition

Our school celebrated the nutrition month with enthusiasm and vigor. Different activities were done just like foodfest, cookfest, oratorical contest and others.

In connection to the nutrition month celebraton, we have to maintain the good condition of our health so that we can avoid diseases. We can ensure the good condition of our health by having a good nutrition.

We can attain proper nutrition by eating a well balanced diet. Eating a well balanced diet can boost our immune system and contributes a lot in maintaining our health. Exercising everyday contributes too, in maintaining our health.

In our country today, 1 out of 10 Filipinos suffer different lifestyle diseases due to improper nutrition. Most of these people belong to the lowest level of living. So poverty is one of the reasons why people suffer different lifestyle diseases. The government keeps saying that the people who belong to the lowest level of living is decreasing but I don't believe on what they are saying. Another reason is the prices of food. Ther poor people cannot buy nutritious foods any more today because they don't have enough money.

Even though the government impleemented some projects like feeding programs, it is not enough. Some non-government organization helped in the feeding programs. I want to see more projects from the gorvenment focusing on the problems in the nutrition of our fellow Filipinos. Iwant that these problems would be solved before it's too late.

Speaking English and Filipino with Kindness

Speaking English and Filipino more often should be done by everybody. We should master these languages so that we can communicate and interact with our fellow Pilipinos and people in other places. But, mastery alone is useless if we don't add kindness into it. Adding kindness into it can gain the respect of others and they will know that we are educated people. It would also helpus in making new friends and it will make our relationships to others stronger.

Most of the children today are using these languages at hime, in their schools and other places. I think this is good because they can get used in speaking these languages and it will be easy to them to communicate to other people at a very young age. It will alsohelp them whenthey grow up and and apply for a job. They can also express their feelings using these languages. In order for them to speak English and Filipino wiht kindness we should guide and watch them.
